Introducing MeLock – a wireless PC lock.

MeLock is a simple device that automatically locks your computer when you’re not there. We have created a product that is designed to prevent embarrassing and potentially damaging breaches of information.

 

If you need to make sure that unattended computers are locked, the MeLock is for you. When a user walks away from their computer, the MeLock simply steps in and secures their system, it is security through simplicity.

The MeLock plugs into a USB port and the computer thinks that it is just another keyboard – you don’t have to install any software, it can automatically lock windows. This means that there is no need to test and re-install any MeLock software, when the operating system is upgraded, anybody can easily operate it, with no hassles. We have designed this product with ease of use in mind with data loss as a serious threat that is best treated through prevention. After the MeLock has performed it's task of automatically locking your computer, windows will not unlock until you have entered your password.

Each user has a small personal activator. It can be fixed to a lanyard, a clip or just carried in a pocket.

We have thought about the finance industry and are aware that it is not feasible to install software on a computer within a banking environment, which is why we have kept MeLock so simple and software free. Installed in such an environment there is no worry for IT professionals to test the device as there is no software which could endanger a sensitive network of PCs.

 

In the Healthcare industry we understand it is necessary to rush around, using different workstations on the move within a hospital or surgery. Nobody can be expected to lock their computer every time that they are called to another location.
